MKTG 347 Week 1- What Are the Benefits of PPC Platforms?

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is a relatively new advertising tool that started around the early 2000s. Average PPC advertising platforms charge advertisers each time a user engages with their ad. Previously, advertisers focused on traditional forms of marketing such as TV, radio, billboards, and other print media. Traditional advertising lacks the benefits of PPC platforms. The three main benefits of PPC platforms are trackability, targeting, and flexibility.

PPC platforms provide advertisers with trackable, targeted, and flexible advertising methods. In Meg Barry’s article, “10 Powerful PPC Platforms That Will Skyrocket Your Sales [Guide]”, she discusses PPC platforms' benefits, types, and common mistakes. The measurable aspect of PPC platforms allows advertisers to track the useability of their ads. By using cookies and other tracking technologies, advertisers can identify the profitability of their ad investment. In other words, the money earned from advertising should outweigh the money spent on ads. PPC platforms use refined audience targeting. Algorithms target audiences based on their interest, demographics, behaviors, and more. Campaign flexibility in PPC platforms allows advertisers to modify their campaigns. PPC platforms are budget-friendly. The platforms use real-time payment methods instead of advanced payments, allowing advertisers with declining funds to terminate a campaign. Advertisers can test and adjust parts of a marketing campaign, such as the target audience. Each PPC platform has various tracking systems, targeting methods, and payment options that are beneficial for advertisers.

Investing time in PPC platforms like Google or Instagram Ads can benefit advertisers looking for trackable, targeted, and flexible advertising. Advertisers can track their ads interactivity. Specific audiences can be targeted. A campaign’s duration and plan can be altered. PPC platforms efficiently assist advertisers.
